Using Herbatint is easy and straightforward. Begin by preparing the color. Remember to wear gloves and a protection cape (an old towel or t-shirt works too) to safeguard your clothing. Combine equal parts of color and developer in a plastic or glass bowl (avoid metal). Mix until you achieve a gel consistency. Each cap of the bottles serves as a measuring tool (1 cap = 5 mL). After mixing, always replace the caps on unused products for your next application. Discard any remaining mixed product in the bowl.
Next, you’ll apply Herbatint. Start with the Royal Cream (included in the box) along your hairline to prevent staining your skin. Use a brush to apply the mixture onto dry, unwashed hair. Keep in mind that the color of the mixture does not dictate the final result. For uncolored hair, apply the mixture throughout the entire length, starting from the roots and moving to the ends. Allow it to process for 40 minutes. For previously colored hair, apply the mixture to the roots and leave it to develop for 30 minutes. Then, apply the remainder through the rest of the hair and let it process for an additional 10 minutes, totaling 40 minutes.
After the processing time is complete, rinse thoroughly while tilting your head back to avoid product getting into your eyes. Rinse until the water runs clear. Follow up with Herbatint Normalising Shampoo for the best results, rinse again, and towel dry. Finish with Herbatint Royal Cream, the regenerating conditioner, leaving it in for 5 minutes before rinsing again and styling your hair as usual.
